GENERAL INFORMATION

Kokoro Kai offers two extensive training sessions available to its students. Young students are welcomed to to attend our Karate Day Camp for an in depth training and character development session. All other students are encouraged to attend our Gasshuku, which provides an intense weekend of training for the mind and body.

Gasshuku

The Kokoro Gasshuku will be held at Camp Nockamixon, located in Kintnersville, PA, just north of Doylestown. This camp provides over 30 acres of beautiful woods and fields. Each camper will have ample opportunity to enjoy recreational swimming in the Olympic size pool and two Water Slides!!, boating and fishing on a private lake, basketball courts, athletic fields, tennis courts, beach volleyball, movies, ga-ga courts, snack bar, and servings of delicious meals served in the dining hall.

Our Kai Gasshuku

• A full weekend of intensive training and learning in traditional martial arts.
• Emphasis of each class will be on strict discipline and concentrated attention to improving each and every individual.
• Classes are geared towards building confidence, self-defense, knowledge, discipline, posture, balance, coordination, and a “yes I can!” Attitude.
• Development of a positive and competitive spirit.
• Beginners through advanced students will benefit (as best suited to the needs and intentions of the student).

Cost per session - $227.00
Registration Deadline for Session 1 is Sat., May 1st
Deadline for Session 2 is Saturday, July 17th.
Register for BOTH sessions by May 1st and receive $14. discount – total $440.
Cash or check should be made out to “Kokoro Kai.” You may also authorize a draw from PayPal.
Please do not mail payment to the Camp.
No Late Enrollment will be accepted.

Arrival / Departure

Students may arrive at the Camp on Friday of at 4pm and should be picked up on Sunday at 10:30am.

Equipment

• Sleeping Gear: sleeping bag, pillow, blankets, etc.
• Toilet articles such as shampoo, soap, towel, toothbrush, etc.
• Sport clothes such as bathing suit, sneakers, jacket, etc.
• Spending money for the snack bar ($5-10.00 is sufficient)
• Fishing pole if you want to fish
• Do not bring any valuables such as expensive jewelry and please leave your cameras at home if you are under age 12.

Karate Day Camp

Karate Camp has been designed to provide concentrated, energetic instruction combined with planned recreation time.

The Kokoro Kai Camp has been developed by the Senior Black Belt Staff Members of OUR KAI. All classes and activities will be conducted by our professional Black Belt Teaching Staff. The Kokoro Kai Day Camp will be held at The East Montgomery Karate Academy, located at 1116 Horsham Rd., Ambler, PA (Horsham).

SCHEDULE:

9:00am Drop Off
9:15 – 10:15 Class
10:15 Snack: We provide healthy snack.
10:30 – 12n Arts & Crafts / Kid-friendly Movie
12n – 12:30 LUNCH
12:30 – 1:30 Activity (Obstacle Course / Relay Races / Misc. Games)
1:30 – 2:30 Special Activity to be announced
2:30 – 3:30 Class
3:30pm Pick-Up.

FRIDAY = PIZZA DAY. No need to bring a lunch. Also, for those students who are ready, promotions will be made this day.

NOTE: All students must be enrolled by
April 30th for session #1
May 31st for session #2 and June 30th for session #3.

EARLY ENROLLMENT:

Enroll by March 31st for any of the weekly sessions and take $10.00 off the total.

Late Enrollment will be accepted with an addition $20. charge.

Arrival / Departure

Students may arrive at the Dojo at 9am and be picked up each day at 3:30pm. If you need after hours care, please speak with the head instructor.
