Our Philosophy

Students come to train in the Martial Arts for many reasons. Some are looking for pure self defense, others for physical fitness, while many have children they enroll in a program such as ours in hopes of giving their kids an advantage in life that can often be gained through the discipline and structure of a professional Martial Arts Academy.

With an emphasis on Courtesy and Respect in a traditional environment as taught in the Orient, the Kokoro Kai is truly a wonderful place to attain all of your goals through Martial Arts training.

The majority of our Staff and Black Belts began their training with us as young children, working their way up through the ranks to become dynamic, successful individuals. Many of them are currently in prestigious colleges and universites such as M.I.T. and Drexel U., to name but two.

The atmosphere of our Academy is one of friendship and family. Many of our students have a sibling, parent, or child training in the Kai with them. We are a close-knit group of students who come from all different back-grounds but have one main interest........self betterment through Martial Arts training.
